Video Description: Enjoy this excerpt from “The Dream Project,” an original production, performed by 6th grade students at Wydown Middle School.

My drama classes are excited to share a unique performance that they put together.  We started the semester with a small project to build a sense of ensemble and community by sharing our dreams.  While doing this, we also learned about how to tell stories through the use of an art form called Tableaux.  This unique theatrical performance project provided my drama students an opportunity to showcase their voices and dreams.

Theatre isn’t possible without an ensemble of performers who work together and support one another in a unified setting to create something that will be shared with the world.  Our objective with this project is to share the hopes and dreams of our company while at the same time inspiring change in the world.  Please enjoy these short performances and I hope you feel as inspired as I do by our amazing students that we get to work with each day.
